About our story

We decided to create Chichester Secure Dog Activity Park following years of experience with our lovable yet unpredictable dog. We often felt at a loss because we found very few enjoyable, yet safe, spaces which allowed him freedom.

We understand this can be stressful and believe every dog and their owner should be able to enjoy joyful, off-lead walking without anxiety. Whether your dog(s) just like their own space, are overly sensitive to scents, or maybe they prefer 1:1 time - Chichester Secure Dog Activity Park & Training Centre is a safe and secure dog park that alleviates both owner and dog anxiety.

The Environment

In creating our vision, we were adamant not to design a bland paddock but to provide a natural, stimulating and fulfilling environment for our customers and their dogs.
It's very important to us that we protect and enhance our secure dog park.  Not only to offer you and your dog(s) a secure dog field, but to help the native wildlife.

As we are situated next to nature reserve we have been working with the Manhood Wildlife and  Heritage Group to ensure we bring more biodiversity to the area.  To that extent we will be planting over 150 native trees and shrubs within and outside the secure dog area.

The meadow area is only cut once a year to promote lizards, butterflies, bees and other insects. Various monitoring equipment will be installed over the summer and we hope to invite local schools to the secure dog park to learn more about the biodiversity.

Our 10 year site improvement plan will only be possible with your continued support and we hope you enjoy the results over the years ahead.

Tree planting December  2019

"We planted 210 trees made up of many native tree species: oak, field maple, hazelnut, rowan, crab apple, wild cherry, hawthorn, blackthorn, dogwood, elderberry, spindle, willow and green beech.  This will create highly rich flower and fruiting hedges for wildlife as well copse areas within the field as they grow bigger."

Tree Planting with North Mundham Primary School January 2020

We hosted several children from the local primary school  in our secure dog field who planted a small orchard including, apple, cherry and pear trees. Over the years these will provide a vital food source for birds, mammals and maybe the odd human too!
